Quick answer
How do I pay for web hosting with USDT (TRC-20 or ERC-20)?
To pay for web hosting with USDT at Velumhold, top up your balance from $25 and send the exact amount shown on the network you picked: Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20). Funds sent on another network can’t be recovered. Plans start at $2.49 a month on the yearly term (2 November 2026). No KYC: no ID, no selfie, no card.

| Minimum top-up | $25 |
| Network fee | Paid by you, on top of the amount: in ETH on Ethereum, in TRX or staked resources on Tron |
| Account delivery | 24 hours at the latest, starting once your payment is confirmed |
| ID at signup | No KYC, at signup or at any later point: no ID, no selfie, no documents, no card, no phone number |
How do I pay for web hosting with USDT, step by step?
Velumhold works from a prepaid balance. Pick USDT at the first step, then pick Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20). The table shows both rows.
Top up $25 or more
Choose the amount and the coin (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC). The crypto amount and its rate are locked for 30 minutes.
Send it to the address shown, on the exact network
The payment page shows our deposit address for the coin and network you picked: BTC on Bitcoin, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, LTC on Litecoin. Send only that coin on that network: funds sent on another network or in another coin can’t be recovered. The network fee comes on top of the amount.
Send the exact amount shown, then click “I’ve sent the payment”
Each top-up has its own exact amount (down to the last decimals): that is how we find your payment and link it to your account.
Credited once your payment is checked on the blockchain
Your balance is credited once we have checked the transaction on the blockchain, after the network has confirmed it. Typical network confirmation times:
Crypto Network Confirmations Usual time BTC Bitcoin 2 ≈ 20 min USDT Tron (TRC-20) 20 ≈ 1 min USDT Ethereum (ERC-20) 12 ≈ 5 min USDC Ethereum (ERC-20) 12 ≈ 5 min ETH Ethereum 12 ≈ 5 min SOL Solana 1 ≈ 1 min LTC Litecoin 6 ≈ 15 min Get your hosting account
Pick a plan, a term, a location and a starting point (WordPress or an empty account), and the top-up is set to the price of that term. Once the payment is confirmed, a person creates your account within 24 hours and the control panel login appears in your dashboard. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your hosting accounts. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.
Closed the tab? The pending top-up stays under Billing in your account: open it to see the address and the exact amount again.
What is the difference between TRC-20 and ERC-20 USDT?
Tether issues USDT on several blockchains, and its supported-protocols page lists both Ethereum (ERC-20) and Tron (TRC-20). Tether says its tokens exist on multiple blockchains and should be treated equally and interchangeably.
For you, the difference is the network, not the coin. Interchangeable does not mean a transfer can cross networks: Velumhold’s steps say funds sent on another network can’t be recovered.
TRC-20 and ERC-20 side by side
| Detail | Tron (TRC-20) | Ethereum (ERC-20) |
|---|---|---|
| Block time | 3 seconds | 12-second slots |
| Time until final | A block becomes irreversible once at least 19 of the 27 Super Representatives have each produced a block at that height or above, typically about 1 minute | About 15 minutes for a block to finalize |
| Fee paid in | Bandwidth and Energy; TRX is burned if you lack them | Gas, paid in ETH |
| Address looks like | 34 characters, starting with T | 42 characters, starting with 0x |
Velumhold’s own confirmation counts and usual times for each network are in the payment table above. They are typical network times, not delivery times.
Which network should I choose, TRC-20 or ERC-20?
Use the network where your USDT already sits. Then check that you hold the coin that pays the fee there.
- TRC-20: Tron charges two resources, Bandwidth for the transaction and Energy for contract execution, and a token transfer runs a contract. Tron’s documentation says that when an account has too few resources, the network burns TRX to cover the rest. Keep some TRX in the wallet.
- ERC-20: the Ethereum documentation says gas fees have to be paid in ETH. Keep some ETH in the wallet.
This page quotes no dollar fees. The sources do not give a fixed price for either network. Your wallet shows the fee before you confirm, so compare the two there. Paying in BTC instead? See how to pay for web hosting with Bitcoin.
How long does a USDT payment take?
Two waits add up: the network, then the team.
The network. Tron produces a block every 3 seconds, and its documentation says a block typically becomes irreversible in about a minute. Ethereum has 12-second slots, and ethereum.org says a block takes about 15 minutes to finalize. The payment table above gives the confirmations Velumhold waits for and the usual time on each network.
The team. A member of the team creates your hosting account after your payment is confirmed, within 24 hours, so delivery is not instant; follow its status in the dashboard until the control panel login appears. 24 hours at the latest, starting once your payment is confirmed. Delivery is not instant.
What if I send USDT on the wrong network or the wrong amount?
Velumhold’s payment steps are clear on the first point. Send only the coin and network you picked. Coins that travel on another network, or a different coin altogether, cannot be recovered.
Before you confirm, match the first characters of the address on the payment page to the network:
- Tron (TRC-20): 34 characters, starting with T.
- Ethereum (ERC-20): 42 characters, starting with 0x.
USDC is accepted on Ethereum (ERC-20) only. Do not send USDC on Tron.
On the amount: each top-up has its own exact amount, and that is how the payment is found and linked to your account. If you sent another amount, do not send a second payment. Write to support with the transaction ID. Support replies within 12 hours. These pages make no promise about a payment of another amount, so ask before you act.
Which web hosts accept USDT?
According to Velumhold's survey of 2 November 2026, only 3 of the 15 shared-hosting providers it read name USDT: FlokiNET, Packetra and Shinjiru, which takes the ERC-20 version only.
| Host | USDT | Networks and processor | Worth knowing |
|---|---|---|---|
| Velumhold | Yes | Tron (TRC-20) and Ethereum (ERC-20) | USDC on Ethereum too; no ID step |
| FlokiNET | Yes | Processor not named | USDC, ETH, SOL and many more coins |
| Packetra | Yes | ERC-20 and TRC-20, through CoinPayments | USDC too; BTC and XMR through self-hosted BTCPay Server |
| Shinjiru | ERC-20 only | Direct wallet payment or CoinPayments | USDT on TRC-20, USDC and other unsupported assets will not be processed or refunded |
| Hostwinds | Not named | Stripe Crypto: USDC and other Stripe-supported stablecoins | No Bitcoin; manual payment per invoice; a wrong token or network may be unrecoverable |
| IncogNET | Not named | Altcoins and many stablecoins through Trocador | Read from archived pages |
| OrangeWebsite | Not named | BitPay and CoinPayments; “others via gateways” | BTC, LTC, ETH, BCH and XMR are named |
| Hostinger | Not confirmed | CoinGate list, not re-verified | From a 2021 announcement |
| Other surveyed hosts | Not named | 1984 Hosting, KoDDoS, Abelohost, Namecheap and Hawk Host list Bitcoin, sometimes with other coins, but not USDT; Hostens shows a BitPay logo and names no coin | SiteGround and Bluehost: no crypto option listed in the survey |
Prices checked on
“Not named” means the survey did not find USDT on the pages it read. It does not prove the host refuses it. Scores by coin, ID and renewal price: best web hosting that accepts crypto.
Paying for hosting with USDT: common questions
Is TRC-20 or ERC-20 cheaper?
The sources give no fixed price for either. TRC-20 fees are paid in TRX or staked resources, ERC-20 fees in ETH. Compare the fee your wallet shows for each network before you confirm. No setup fee is added: the price of the term you pick is what you pay, at the first order and again at each renewal.
Does Velumhold accept USDC as well?
Yes, on Ethereum (ERC-20) only. The payment table above lists it.
What is the minimum USDT payment?
The minimum top-up is $25. Your balance has no expiry date and pays for any of your hosting accounts. It is not paid back out unless the law requires it; the one exception is the unspent part of a top-up made only to reach the minimum, which returns in USDT or USDC if you ask within 30 days of payment.
How long does a USDT payment take to confirm?
Tron makes a block every 3 seconds and Ethereum every 12. The payment table above shows Velumhold’s confirmations and usual time for each network. The account follows within 24 hours of a confirmed payment.
Do I need ID to pay for hosting with USDT?
No. No KYC, at signup or at any later point: no ID, no selfie, no documents, no card, no phone number. Your account number alone signs you in; an email address is yours to add or to leave out, as explained in web hosting without ID verification.
