Quick answer

How do I pay for web hosting with Bitcoin?

To pay for web hosting with Bitcoin at Velumhold, top up your balance in BTC from $25, send the exact amount shown to the payment address and wait for network confirmation. A person creates your account within 24 hours. Plans start at $2.49 a month on the yearly term (2 November 2026). No KYC: no ID, no selfie, no card.

How do I pay for web hosting with Bitcoin, step by step?

Velumhold works from a prepaid balance. Pick BTC at the first step. The table shows the Bitcoin row next to the other coins.

  1. Top up $25 or more

Choose the amount and the coin (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC). The crypto amount and its rate are locked for 30 minutes.

  2. Send it to the address shown, on the exact network

The payment page shows our deposit address for the coin and network you picked: BTC on Bitcoin, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, LTC on Litecoin. Send only that coin on that network: funds sent on another network or in another coin can’t be recovered. The network fee comes on top of the amount.

  3. Send the exact amount shown, then click “I’ve sent the payment”

Each top-up has its own exact amount (down to the last decimals): that is how we find your payment and link it to your account.

  4. Credited once your payment is checked on the blockchain

Your balance is credited once we have checked the transaction on the blockchain, after the network has confirmed it. Typical network confirmation times:

    CryptoNetworkConfirmationsUsual time
    BTCBitcoin2≈ 20 min
    USDTTron (TRC-20)20≈ 1 min
    USDTEthereum (ERC-20)12≈ 5 min
    USDCEthereum (ERC-20)12≈ 5 min
    ETHEthereum12≈ 5 min
    SOLSolana1≈ 1 min
    LTCLitecoin6≈ 15 min
  5. Get your hosting account

Pick a plan, a term, a location and a starting point (WordPress or an empty account), and the top-up is set to the price of that term. Once the payment is confirmed, a person creates your account within 24 hours and the control panel login appears in your dashboard. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your hosting accounts. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.

Closed the tab? The pending top-up stays under Billing in your account: open it to see the address and the exact amount again.

What should I check in my wallet before I send?

Five checks cover the usual mistakes.

  • Coin: BTC. Funds sent in another coin can’t be recovered.
  • Network: the Bitcoin network, as the payment page shows.
  • Amount: the exact figure on the payment page. Each top-up has its own exact amount, down to the last decimals. That is how the payment is found and linked to your account.
  • Fee: make sure the network fee comes on top of the amount. Your wallet sets the fee. The Bitcoin developer guide warns that a transaction paying only the minimum fee should be prepared to wait a long time.
  • Address: copy it from the payment page and check it again after you paste.

How long does paying with Bitcoin take?

Two waits add up: the network, then the team.

The network. The bitcoin.org vocabulary says a new block is added roughly every 10 minutes on average. A confirmation means the network has processed your transaction, and each further confirmation lowers the risk that it is reversed. The table above gives the confirmations Velumhold waits for and the usual time. These are typical times. A low fee can stretch them.

The team. A member of the team creates your hosting account after your payment is confirmed, within 24 hours, so delivery is not instant; follow its status in the dashboard until the control panel login appears. 24 hours at the latest, starting once your payment is confirmed.

So plan for a few tens of minutes on the network, then up to a day for the account. Delivery is not instant.

What does it cost to pay for hosting in Bitcoin?

You pay the plan price plus the network fee. No setup fee is added: the price of the term you pick is what you pay, at the first order and again at each renewal. Prices are set in US dollars. The payment page shows the BTC amount and holds the rate for a short time.

The bitcoin.org business guide says the fee depends on the size of the transaction in data, not on the value sent. The fee goes to the miners, not to Velumhold.

Paying in a stablecoin instead? See how to pay for web hosting with USDT.

A plan can cost less than the minimum top-up. Tulle for one month costs $3.56, under the $25 minimum. Your balance has no expiry date and pays for any of your hosting accounts. It is not paid back out unless the law requires it; the one exception is the unspent part of a top-up made only to reach the minimum, which returns in USDT or USDC if you ask within 30 days of payment.

Plan prices by term

Total in US dollars for each term, before the network fee.

Plan1 month3 months6 months12 months
Tulle$3.56$9.61$17.08$29.90
Chiffon$5.35$14.44$25.68$44.94
Velvet$7.14$19.27$34.27$59.97

What happens if the amount or the network is wrong?

Velumhold’s payment steps say two things.

  • Wrong coin or network: funds sent on another network or in another coin can’t be recovered.
  • Wrong amount: each top-up has its own exact amount, and that amount is how the payment is found and linked to your account.

If your wallet sent a different amount, do not send a second payment. Write to support with the transaction ID. Support replies within 12 hours. These pages make no promise about a payment of another amount, so ask before you act.

Closed the payment tab? The pending top-up is still waiting under Billing in your account.

Is paying for hosting with Bitcoin private?

Only up to a point: Velumhold never learns your name, but the payment itself sits on a public ledger.

bitcoin.org states that all Bitcoin transactions are public, traceable and permanently stored in the Bitcoin network. It advises a new address for each incoming payment and separate wallets for different purposes, so transactions are harder to link.

That is a limit of Bitcoin, not of any host. What private web hosting hides lists the others.
