*Prices checked on November 2, 2026.*

Prices in US dollars per month. “May ask”: the host or its payment processor says it may ask for more than an email (billing details, verification or ID). “Not checked”: we did not inspect the signup. “about”: a renewal we infer from a list price. “Not captured”: not recorded.

## How many hosts accept crypto, and how many ask for no ID?

**According to Velumhold's survey of 2 November 2026, 14 of the 18 hosts accept crypto in some form**, including 12 of the 15 that sell shared hosting. SiteGround and Bluehost do not. BlueAngelHost shows no crypto option and Hostens shows only a BitPay logo with no coins named, so neither is counted.

Crypto does not always mean Bitcoin. Hostwinds takes only stablecoins such as USDC. Namecheap uses crypto to top up a balance.

**4 of the 15 shared-hosting sellers ask for no ID at signup:** 1984 Hosting, FlokiNET, IncogNET and Packetra. Eight may ask for more than an email. Three were not checked. See [web hosting without ID verification](https://velumhold.com/web-hosting-without-kyc/ "Can I get web hosting without ID verification?").

## What does the cheapest plan cost at 12 months?

**The cheapest plan cost $2.19 to $5.95 a month at the 8 crypto-accepting hosts that list a 12-month price. The median was $3.52.** In order: Hawk Host $2.19, Namecheap $2.28, 1984 Hosting $2.95, IncogNET $3.33, Packetra $3.71, Hostinger $3.99, OrangeWebsite $4.20, Shinjiru $5.95.

Median of 8 values: ($3.33 + $3.71) / 2 = $3.52. Four other crypto hosts show only a 1-month price (FlokiNET, Abelohost, KoDDoS) or no clear term (Hostwinds), so they are left out.

## What does renewal cost?

**Five hosts publish a renewal price for their cheapest plan. The median is $10.99 a month.** They are 1984 Hosting ($19.83), SiteGround ($17.99), Hostinger ($10.99), Bluehost ($9.99) and Hawk Host ($5.22). Add OrangeWebsite, IncogNET and Packetra, which show one price per term and no promotion, so we take the list price as the renewal, and the median of 8 is about $7.61.

At the five hosts, renewal costs 2.4 to 9.0 times the first-term price; the median is 2.8. Bluehost's ratio uses its 36-month price. Seven hosts show no renewal price. More: [why web hosting costs more at renewal](https://velumhold.com/web-hosting-renewal-prices/ "Why does web hosting cost more when it renews?").

## Which control panels do hosts use?

**cPanel is the most common panel: 9 of the 15 shared-hosting sellers use it.** IncogNET uses DirectAdmin. 1984 Hosting, Hostinger and SiteGround run their own. Packetra does not name its panel, and we did not capture Bluehost's. Velumhold includes: A web control panel for files, domains, email, databases, SSL certificates and backups.

## Where does Velumhold sit in this index?

Velumhold sells three shared hosting plans: Tulle, Chiffon and Velvet. On a yearly term they cost $2.49, $3.74 and $4.99 a month. Each renewal is for the same term at the price of your order. The same survey scores 13 hosts on coins, ID and renewal price in [what is the best web hosting that accepts crypto](https://velumhold.com/best-web-hosting-that-accepts-crypto/ "What is the best web hosting that accepts crypto?"), and every term is on the [pricing page](https://velumhold.com/pricing/ "How much does Velumhold web hosting cost?").

> **Our price rule** On the yearly term, each plan is priced at least 25% under a named reference plan (prices read on 2 November 2026): Tulle against IncogNET's “CloudLinux Starter” at $3.33 a month; Chiffon against IncogNET's “CloudLinux Standard” at $5.00 a month; Velvet against IncogNET's “CloudLinux Professional” at $6.67 a month. The reference is the comparable hosting plan with the smallest price among 3 hosts that accept crypto and ask for no ID at signup (FlokiNET, IncogNET, Packetra): at least as many websites and as much storage, compared at the price a customer keeps paying (the best term up to 12 months, at its renewal price when the first term is a promotion, with any setup fee spread over 12 months). 1984 Hosting, which also asks for no ID, does not state its storage, so it is not compared.

## Velumhold plans, price per month

| Plan | Quantity | 30 days | 3 months | 6 months | 1 year |

| Chiffon | 10 websites · 50 GB NVMe | $5.35 | $14.44 (−10%) | $25.68 (−20%) | $44.94 (−30%) |
| Velvet | Unlimited websites · 75 GB NVMe | $7.14 | $19.27 (−10%) | $34.27 (−20%) | $59.97 (−30%) |

In every plan: Free SSL · Daily backups · Email accounts · WordPress installed on request · No KYC

**Before you pay**

- Minimum top-up $1. Top up once in crypto, then buy any plan from your balance.
- Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your hosting accounts. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.
- Credited once your payment is checked on the blockchain. Typical network confirmation time: BTC ≈ 20 min · USDT TRC-20 ≈ 1 min · USDT ERC-20 ≈ 5 min · USDC ERC-20 ≈ 5 min · ETH ≈ 5 min · SOL ≈ 1 min · LTC ≈ 15 min · XMR ≈ 20 min

## How was the index built, and can I reuse it?

A one-day survey of public pages, read on 2 November 2026.

- **Hosts:** 18, mostly privacy and offshore hosts plus a few mainstream ones. Not a random sample.
- **Plans:** 59 at 15 hosts. Njalla, Privex and BlueAngelHost sell no shared hosting.
- **Price:** the 12-month price divided by 12, in US dollars. Euros are converted at the ECB rate of 1.1172 (30 October 2026).
- **Cheapest plan:** the shared plan with the lowest 12-month price; with none, the 1-month price, as the table says.
- **Renewal:** per month, as the host states it. “About” marks one we infer from a list price.
- **Limits:** IncogNET refused our reads, so its figures come from Internet Archive snapshots of 17 and 18 October 2026. Bluehost blocked automated reads, so its figures come from a text summary of its page. SiteGround's price was an early Black Friday offer.
- **Reuse:** the table and the figures are licensed CC BY 4.0. Credit “Velumhold web hosting price index, checked 2 November 2026, velumhold.com/web-hosting-price-index/”.
