## What does each hosting plan include?

Each plan is one hosting account with a control panel. The table shows what the account holds and what it costs. The list under it applies to every plan.

| Plan | What the account holds | Per month, yearly term | Month to month |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Tulle | 1 website, 20 GB NVMe, unmetered bandwidth, 10 email accounts, 10 databases, daily backups kept 7 days | $2.49 | $3.56 |
| Chiffon | 10 websites, 50 GB NVMe, unmetered bandwidth, unlimited email accounts, unlimited databases, daily backups kept 14 days | $3.74 | $5.35 |
| Velvet | Unlimited websites, 75 GB NVMe, unmetered bandwidth, unlimited email accounts, unlimited databases, daily backups kept 30 days | $4.99 | $7.14 |

**In every plan:**

- **Control panel:** A web control panel for files, domains, email, databases, SSL certificates and backups.
- **Storage:** NVMe SSD storage on every plan.
- **SSL:** Free SSL certificates (Let’s Encrypt), issued and renewed automatically for every domain on the account.
- **Email:** Email accounts on your own domain with webmail, IMAP and SMTP; outgoing mail is rate-limited to keep spam off the servers.
- **Backups:** Automatic daily backups of files and databases, kept for 7 to 30 days depending on the plan; restore one from the control panel or ask support.
- **WordPress:** Pick “WordPress, installed” at checkout and the account arrives with WordPress set up on your domain; pick “Empty account” to upload your own site.
- **Moving in:** Moving an existing site in is free: send support a backup or the old host’s login and the team copies it over.

## Which hosting plan do I need?

**Tulle fits one website, Chiffon up to ten, and Velvet puts no cap on the number of websites.** Storage grows from 20 GB on Tulle to 50 GB on Chiffon and 75 GB on Velvet. Tulle has 10 email accounts and 10 databases. Chiffon and Velvet have unlimited email accounts and unlimited databases. Backups are kept for 7 days on Tulle, 14 days on Chiffon and 30 days on Velvet.

If you need root access, or software that a shared account cannot run, read [shared hosting or a VPS: which one do I need?](https://velumhold.com/shared-hosting-vs-vps/ "Shared hosting or a VPS: which one do I need?")

## How does billing work?

**You prepay each hosting account for 1, 3, 6 or 12 months at a time, and a longer term costs less per month.** Pay for 1 month, 3 months (10% off), 6 months (20% off) or 12 months (30% off) at a time: a longer term costs the monthly price times 3, 6 or 12, less its discount, rounded down to the cent (Chiffon: $14.44 for 3 months, $25.68 for 6 months, $44.94 for 12 months). A renewal repeats your term at the price you ordered at, unless you set a different term for the next renewal from your dashboard.

*Each term is paid at once from your balance. A longer term is the monthly price times 3, 6 or 12, less its discount, rounded down to the cent.*

| Plan | 1 month | 3 months (10% off) | 6 months (20% off) | 12 months (30% off) | Per month on 12 months |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Tulle | $3.56 | $9.61 | $17.08 | $29.90 | $2.49 |
| Chiffon | $5.35 | $14.44 | $25.68 | $44.94 | $3.74 |
| Velvet | $7.14 | $19.27 | $34.27 | $59.97 | $4.99 |

**At renewal, the same term is charged again at the price of your order.** You can pick another term for the next renewal in the dashboard. If the balance cannot cover it, the sites stop when the term ends, the files are kept for 7 days and then deleted.

Some hosts raise the price when the first term ends; the dated figures are in [why web hosting costs more when it renews](https://velumhold.com/web-hosting-renewal-prices/ "Why does web hosting cost more when it renews?").

## How is the Velumhold price set?

**On the yearly term, each Velumhold plan is priced at least 25% under a named comparable plan from three no-KYC crypto hosts, read on 2 November 2026.** We do not claim to be the cheapest at every size. According to Velumhold's survey of 2 November 2026, 3 of the 18 hosts it read take crypto, ask for no ID at signup and state their storage: FlokiNET, IncogNET and Packetra. Their shared plans set the reference. The rule in full: On the yearly term, each plan is priced at least 25% under a named reference plan (prices read on 2 November 2026): Tulle against IncogNET's “CloudLinux Starter” at $3.33 a month; Chiffon against IncogNET's “CloudLinux Standard” at $5.00 a month; Velvet against IncogNET's “CloudLinux Professional” at $6.67 a month. The reference is the comparable hosting plan with the smallest price among 3 hosts that accept crypto and ask for no ID at signup (FlokiNET, IncogNET, Packetra): at least as many websites and as much storage, compared at the price a customer keeps paying (the best term up to 12 months, at its renewal price when the first term is a promotion, with any setup fee spread over 12 months). 1984 Hosting, which also asks for no ID, does not state its storage, so it is not compared.

The table shows the reference plan for each of our plans. All 18 hosts we checked, with their renewal prices, are in the [web hosting price index](https://velumhold.com/web-hosting-price-index/ "How much does web hosting cost with crypto in 2026?").

### What is the reference plan for each Velumhold plan?

*Monthly price a customer keeps paying: the best term up to 12 months, at its renewal price when the first term is a promotion, with any setup fee spread over 12 months. Each reference plan has at least as many websites and as much storage as the Velumhold plan beside it.*

| Plan | Velumhold, yearly term, per month | Reference plan, per month | Host and plan | Velumhold is lower by | Hosts with a comparable plan |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Tulle | $2.49 | about $3.33 | IncogNET, CloudLinux Starter | 25% | 3 |
| Chiffon | $3.74 | about $5.00 | IncogNET, CloudLinux Standard | 25% | 2 |
| Velvet | $4.99 | about $6.67 | IncogNET, CloudLinux Professional | 25% | 2 |

*Prices checked on November 2, 2026.*

IncogNET's figures come from an archived copy of its page dated 17 October 2026, because its live page could not be read on 2 November 2026. Its renewal price is assumed to equal its listed price, so the amounts are approximate.

## What is not charged, and what is not included?

**No setup fee is added: the price of the term you pick is what you pay, at the first order and again at each renewal.**

Not charged on any plan:

- **Setup:** nothing to pay to open the account.
- **SSL certificates:** free, issued and renewed for you.
- **Moving a site in:** free. Send support a backup or the old host’s login, and the team copies the site over.
- **Bandwidth:** unmetered on every plan.

Not part of the price:

- **Domain names:** not sold here. Point a domain you own to the account with two nameservers or an A record.
- **A free trial:** none. The smallest plan, Tulle, costs $3.56 for one month, or $2.49 a month on the yearly term.
- **Automated delivery:** a member of the team creates each account by hand, within minutes of the confirmed payment and an hour at most.
- **Unlimited sending:** outgoing email is rate-limited, to keep spam off the servers.

## Where can my hosting account run?

**Every plan runs in all three locations at the same price.** The locations are Reykjavik (Iceland), Amsterdam (Netherlands) and Bucharest (Romania). Reykjavik is in the EEA, outside the European Union. Amsterdam and Bucharest are inside it. You pick the location at checkout. The Icelandic option is covered in [is Iceland a good place to host a website?](https://velumhold.com/iceland-web-hosting/ "Is Iceland a good place to host a website?")

## How do I pay for hosting?

**You pay in crypto, from a prepaid balance.** The accepted coins are BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, XMR. The minimum top-up is $1. Each incoming payment whose sending address shows on its blockchain is checked against public sanctions lists of blockchain addresses, and a payment from a listed address is never credited. A Monero payment keeps its sending address out of view, so this list check cannot cover it. At no point are you asked for a name, an ID or a card. Each coin is walked through in [how to pay for web hosting with Bitcoin](https://velumhold.com/web-hosting-with-bitcoin/ "How do I pay for web hosting with Bitcoin?") and [with USDT](https://velumhold.com/web-hosting-with-usdt/ "How do I pay for web hosting with USDT (TRC-20 or ERC-20)?").

## How does paying for hosting in crypto work?

You sign in with an account number, top up in crypto and order the plan from your balance. A person on the team then creates the hosting account.

1. **Top up $1 or more** — Choose the amount and the coin (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, XMR). The crypto amount and its rate are locked for 30 minutes.
2. **Send it to the address shown, on the exact network** — The payment page shows our deposit address for the coin and network you picked: BTC on Bitcoin, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), ETH on Ethereum, SOL on Solana, LTC on Litecoin, XMR on Monero. Send only that coin on that network: funds sent on another network or in another coin can’t be recovered. The network fee comes on top of the amount.
3. **Send the exact amount shown, then click “I’ve sent the payment”** — Each top-up has its own exact amount (down to the last decimals): that is how we find your payment and link it to your account.
4. **Credited once your payment is checked on the blockchain** — Your balance is credited once we have checked the transaction on the blockchain, after the network has confirmed it. Typical network confirmation times:
5. **Get your hosting account** — Pick a plan, a term, a location and a starting point (WordPress or an empty account), and the top-up is set to the price of that term. Once the payment is confirmed, a person creates your account within minutes (an hour at most) and the control panel login appears in your dashboard. Credit on your balance does not expire and renews any of your hosting accounts. When a top-up is only made to reach the minimum, the unspent part comes back on request within 30 days of payment, in USDT or USDC. The rest of a balance is not paid out unless the law requires it.

| Crypto | Network | Confirmations | Usual time |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Bitcoin (BTC) | Bitcoin | 2 | ≈ 20 min |
| Tether (USDT) | Tron (TRC-20) | 20 | ≈ 1 min |
| Tether (USDT) | Ethereum (ERC-20) | 12 | ≈ 5 min |
| USD Coin (USDC) | Ethereum (ERC-20) | 12 | ≈ 5 min |
| Ethereum (ETH) | Ethereum | 12 | ≈ 5 min |
| Solana (SOL) | Solana | 1 | ≈ 1 min |
| Litecoin (LTC) | Litecoin | 6 | ≈ 15 min |
| Monero (XMR) | Monero | 10 | ≈ 20 min |

Closed the tab? The pending top-up stays under Billing in your account: open it to see the address and the exact amount again.

## What else do buyers ask about Velumhold prices?

### Does the price go up when my hosting renews?

No. With auto-renew, the same term is charged again at your original price. You can pick another term for the next renewal in the dashboard. Tulle on the yearly term stays at $29.90 for the year.

### Does the price change with the location?

No. Chiffon costs $5.35 a month in Reykjavik, Amsterdam and Bucharest alike. Pick the country for its distance to your visitors, not for its price.

### What happens if my balance runs out?

You prepay each hosting account from a crypto balance for a term of 1 month, 3 months, 6 months or 12 months, chosen at checkout. With auto-renew, the same term is charged again at your original price, unless you pick another term for the next renewal in the dashboard; if the balance cannot cover it, the sites stop when the term ends, the files are kept for 7 days and then deleted.

### Can I try a plan for free, or get my money back?

No free trial: the smallest plan, Tulle, costs $3.56 for one month, or $2.49 a month on the yearly term. If we cannot deliver an account, or it goes down and support cannot bring it back, the days out of service return to your balance. The [refund policy](https://velumhold.com/refunds/ "Refund Policy") covers each case.

### Why is Velumhold cheaper than other no-KYC crypto hosts?

Each plan is priced at least 25% under a named comparable plan from three no-KYC crypto hosts, read on 2 November 2026. Tulle costs $2.49 a month, against about $3.33 at IncogNET. The trade-offs are stated: a person creates each account (within the hour after payment), there is no free trial, and domains are not sold here.

### Does ordering require an ID or an email address?

No KYC, at signup or at any later point: no ID, no selfie, no documents, no card, no phone number. Your account number alone signs you in; an email address is yours to add or to leave out.
